Subscriber privacy
The subscription form sends your email address to Kit, our email provider. This page explains how we use it for stories by email.
What we collect
An email address, subscription status and the minimum delivery events required to operate email delivery. We do not need a date of birth, phone number or postal address.
Why we collect it
Only to send requested The Visual Case updates, manage consent, prevent abuse and honour unsubscribe requests.
Where it lives
Kit holds subscription details in its subscriber database. Addresses are not copied into the website repository.
Consent and removal
The signup form asks you to confirm your address by email. Each editorial email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future editorial email.
What we will not do
We will not sell the list, publish addresses, add people without permission or store addresses inside HTML, JavaScript, Git or analytics tools.
