The Visual Case is an independent publication telling stories about the systems shaping everyday life in India through data and visuals.

The publication
The Visual Case combines reporting, public data and explanatory graphics. Each story is built around a question, traces important numbers to their sources and distinguishes measured findings from official claims, estimates and unresolved evidence gaps.
The Visual Case is independently owned and published by Rushikesh Sanjay Dane. Ownership, authorship and responsibility for the work are disclosed so readers can evaluate the publication alongside its evidence.

Who is behind it

Rushikesh Sanjay Dane
Hi, I’m Rushikesh, a data-science educator and developer with an M.Sc. in Mathematics. I have designed and taught data-science curricula, mentored MBA students and built public projects spanning data analysis, visualisation and machine learning. My work brings together data, design and storytelling to make complex subjects easier to understand.
At The Visual Case, I am responsible for reporting, analysis, writing, visual design and publication. Story pages identify the sources used, the date the evidence was checked and material limits in what the available data can establish.
